I love the way they feel when they move across your hands, bit like a hair brush lol :) Max is beautiful in his own way.

He is kinda sweet I guess... still looks edible.

OMG,I can imagine what that must have been like.....have to laugh!!
My sticks laid eggs last year and then died. Kept just a few of their eggs and they hatched about 4 months ago. So I now have 18 hand reared sticks so to speak!

We had am accident with Stick insects when i was a child. We got up one morning to find hundreds all over the kitchen. They'd laid eggs, they'd hatched and the little beauties got out the small holes in the viv we had them in. Was entertaining catching them all. Stood there shaking themselves side to side!! Happy days.

If you get the right kind of stick insects, either Indian or Annam/Vietnamese (Medauroidea Extradentata) the only cost you'll have is the container to keep them in as they feed on bramble. I have a patch growing in the corner of the garden and snip bits off when it needs replacing.
Lol @ scottish bluebird.....I have to say he's got the cutest face I've come across on a bug.

Do it,they are great! I'd also recommend stick insects, they are really easy to keep too.
