I Have the opportunity to get a King snake male, a bit over a year old.
Im not that experienced with snakes yet. Do u think it is a good idea to get him. He is lovely but I'd rather get some advice first.
Are they difficult to keep ??

Here is a picture of him

and they don't come in as many different morphs as corns but still plenty of variety to choose from

as others have said, very similar to corns in husbandry requirements but tend to come with a little more attitude........check out www.thekingsnake.co.uk if you haven't already

They are great snakes, need slightly warmer temps than a Corn but everything else is pretty much identical.

They have a reputation of being a grumpy, nippy snake but it is not always the case. They are certainly a more confident snake and will definitely make it clear when they do not like something but they are not always nippy.

My King is far more active than my Corns so i get to see it exploring more, it is also a big softy and lets me tickle its chin quite happily.

They do rattle their tails more than Corns, plus they musk when they feel threatened... all of this will stop in time though.
