Yo Guys and Gals,

Ive been offered a Hatchling Beardie for free and im thinking it would be rude to turn down, its waiting to hatch ive been told its about a month off being ready.

What i need to know is what kind of setup i need for it and what should i be looking for to see if its healthy and what-not.

Any help is great

Cheers
Jon

Shopping list.

Viv (minimum 3ft by the time they're 6 months old personally i'd not use anything under a 4ft)
Ceramic Bulb and Dimming Stat, (you can either knock the temp down manually every night or turn it off on a timer and have a heat mat on at night)
UV starter and 10% Bulb, (best to put this on a timer)
Basking rock,
water dish,
food dish,
Calcium/vitamin suppliment powder
Climbing branch,
Hide
Substrate (beach chips or Orchid bark),
locusts/crickets (mealworms/waxworms as a treat)
Cabbage

Beardies ROCK but they aren't cheep to set up or to look after, new UV bulb every 6 months and buckets loads of bugs each week especilly while they're growing, they really are a huge commitment and it can be hard to find people willing to lizard sit too so you should really think before taking one on. Hope this helps.
