Posted - 15/05/2014 : 14:48:51 I have noticed a change in attitude of my male hognose over the last few weeks, every time I go into his tank he wants to eat me he has managed to bite me twice,he used to be the most docile snake ,no hissing,no hooding or head butting (don't think he new he was a hog) then he changed into full devil mode. He gets fed a hopper mouse which leaves a nice lump so he should not be hungry his hot side temps are 88 degrees.any advice or should I just leave off the handling for a while? |

was the bite sore? I think if you dont handle him he will learn thats how to get left alone. So i suggest lots of kitchen roll to mop up the blood from the bites, antiseptic cream, maybe antihistimene tablets, and plasters/bandages. possibly a paramedic on standby. Don't forget the most important thing...camera, no proof, no bite! |
