Posted - 04/04/2014 : 09:26:23 So pleased. Our normal royal Nigel finally ate last night on a rat weaner after fasting for nearly 4 months. Its such a relief as he had started loosing weight at a rate of 18g-20g a week, a worrying time. Even the albino royal ate his mouse. He is not a regular feeder often skipping weeks here and there. We now have two royals with full tummies, couldn't have a bigger smile right now |

He was captive farmed and hatched 16th May 2012. He did fast for a short period around the same time last year but it was only for a month. I think he is a pretty good size for his age 3ft 6" and weighing 1.2kg so he was plenty big enough to cope with the fasting, its just that we never are lol. |
