Hey! Yesterday was the annual reptile show here in Barcelona, and I thought you may be interested in taking a look at what was there ;) Eye candy!

As you will see there were reptiles as well as mammals...

Lee I agree, and I was surprised when the seller (Serpentarium) didn't give me any written record on the snake... I am glad he was there to tell me about everything. The risk there's a bug is low because it's just a hatchling, but I wouldn't have risked myself with an adult.

Scary maybe this show isn't worth getting a passport... The trip back to Scotland with a snake on your packpack could be vaaaaary stressful! ;)

Scary, don't you need a passport to get in/out of Scotland haha or were you smuggled?
Lee Posted - 30/09/2013 : 16:00:17
I would want a youngster myself so I can see it grow up and so I know the history, you never know what it's been through when getting an older snake.

i dont own a passport! First time i ever left scotland was this year to the doncaster show!

ScaryVonHayleystine: haha, you can go to the next one which is in Madrid... I am only sad that those events are only once a year!

Lee: Yeah I've been looking for blue beauty prices on the net and I found that they can range from 100 to 150 pounds... This one was born this year though, so the price has to be lower. Anyhow I thought I might not find such an opportunity in a while and took it, and I CANNOT BE HAPPIER!

All those pictures are amazing! Jealous you got to see so much!
Lee Posted - 30/09/2013 : 11:47:24
blue beautys are stunning snakes, not seen one in real life yet! The nearest place to me sell 09 snakes for £130 so it looks like you got a good deal. 49 is not much really for such a nice snake.

I don't know about the first mammal but yeah, later on there's a picture of a fennec! I was surprised to find that maybe 10 fennecs were for sale... Lee I agree about the mammals, I just hope they're caged just for the occasion and that at least they have bigger cages where they actually live.

I splurged... and got me a blue beauty snake! It was sold at Eur. 49 so I thought it was a good price! I didn't know for sure, any thoughts?

Great pics, thank you, some stunning reptiles there. Not sure about the mammals, I don't like to see animals like that caged.

Wow, just wow. This beats any show I've been to ... So, what did you get :-) ?
Mort13 Posted - 29/09/2013 : 20:08:14
Wow, what a selection of animals! I think the first mammal is a genet but I may be wrong. Is that a fennec further down the page?
smart bunny Posted - 29/09/2013 : 19:25:03
Wow, what a huge selection!
