Means I have myself a new pet! Thandie is a Flat Rock Scorpion, absolutely cacked myself holding her so bought her to reward myself for being brave lol.
I will show her off once I sort my PB out!

Though i dont like scorps, the uv is really cool
serena_08 Posted - 22/07/2013 : 07:57:52
Yup lol even the OH was amazed by the uv, and he really don't like her! Haha
smart bunny Posted - 21/07/2013 : 22:34:56
Much cooler under UV lol!

Methinks you might have given me an idea to help persuade the OH that another snake is a good idea hehehe. Looks very nice as well but not my cup of tea lol

Haha I've also survived a few snake bites to add to the mix!
scottishbluebird Posted - 20/07/2013 : 16:03:11
wow you could tell people you were stung by a scorp and survived, they will be well impressed!!
ScaryVonHayleystine Posted - 20/07/2013 : 12:48:20
suddenly knowing that im a little more open minded to owning one...
serena_08 Posted - 20/07/2013 : 11:30:31
Their sting is poor I've read, being less than a bee sting. Some sites said it was more like nettles! I will be fine once I get used to her skittishness :)
ScaryVonHayleystine Posted - 20/07/2013 : 10:13:47
Seems a fair age. Im too scaredy to own a scorpion myself haha :3
serena_08 Posted - 19/07/2013 : 23:21:49
From what the guy told me about 10yr if looked after properly. He didn't want to sell me an adult as he couldn't guarantee how old they were
ScaryVonHayleystine Posted - 19/07/2013 : 20:10:38
How long can they live?
serena_08 Posted - 19/07/2013 : 18:00:04
Couldn't tell ya lol maybe 4/5 inches? Lol I'm not confident enough just yet to be annoying her, but I will measure her next time she tries escaping lol
smart bunny Posted - 19/07/2013 : 13:58:26
Great pic! So how long is she at the moment then?
serena_08 Posted - 18/07/2013 : 22:50:28
Thanks :) was a spontaneous idea that is still freaking the living hell outta me haha she skits and I do to lol. I had to buy her once I'd held her, I couldn't leave her behind!! She's only young still apparently (less than a year) so has some life left yet! She isn't that big but (species) is supposedly the largest in the world! I don't do things by half I tell ya!
ScaryVonHayleystine Posted - 18/07/2013 : 21:53:06
Great picture!
