Posted - 14/04/2013 : 17:04:43 The others have given some really good advise, what I would also ensure you cover is the fact that they eat bugs and show that you also done the research into what food and how to keep them and prevent them escaping! My mum wasn't too impressed when she found how what Jeff would be eating. I didn't mention it before hand as I thought she knew what they ate. Good luck in convincing them

When it's an adult the best size to keep it in would be a 24" (around 60cm) vivarium. Do a timetable to prove you can fit in time for the leos care as well as your homework and all the other things you have to do. You need to prove you're responsible enough to look after a pet and that you know what it's needs are. Good luck. I hope you get one, they're adorable little creatures. |

Posted - 14/04/2013 : 08:37:47 Do loads and loads of research look at loads of care sheets. Its down to you to convince your parents that you are responsible enough to care for and look after a leopard gecko. That's how my son convinced me he was ready for the responsibility of caring for a reptile. Whatever question I asked him regarding the care of the animal he was able to answer fully in fact I probably learnt some things myself lol. Good Luck :) |
