Do any of you own a dwarf boa?
What sort?
Please tell me all about it...it's care, housing, feeding, temperament, suitability as 'beginner' boa and anything else you think a newbie should know!
Could you recommend any websites to view and do you know any reputable breeders?

Thanks for your replies.
I've found gazboas website and he's got some lovely dwarf crawl cays and salmon boas.
I might have to find out lots more about them. I'm certainly very interested!

I think you saw the pic I posted of my new Crawl Cay 
Obviously I haven't had her for long, but I'll share what I know! She is about 7 months old and pretty tiny at the mo, probably about 45cm long and about the same thickness as my 10 month old corn. She should get to a max of about 5ft when fully grown, I think it takes a fair while for them to grow to full size too.
I have her in a 35L RUB, as it fits perfectly on my shelves, and offers a fair bit of height for climbing. She is a lot braver than my corn, she hasn't used her hides yet at all, even after feeding she just tucked herself at the back of the RUB, then a day later was back to wandering around. I have made a bamboo structure for her to climb on, which she seems to be using. My corn has a pretty good feeding response but the boa is very fierce! Struck and coiled the first time I fed her, and stayed in feeding mode for a while, I think she would have struck at me, definitely one to feed in the viv, would not want to have to touch her right after feeding!
I have a heat mat for a hot end of 32C, and I use an oil-filled radiator to boost my ambient temps to 23-25C. I'll be moving her into a viv with a ceramic before next winter so I can control the cool end temps better.
Temperament wise, I was a bit intimidated (even though she is tiny) when I handled her at the breeder's, she was hissing loads! Since i've had her home she has been fine though, and i've handled her briefly to move her and she was fine. Quite a contrast in temperament to my corn though, as Basil seems to hide if he is scared, where as the boa definitely stands her ground! She is very nosey too
I got her from Gazboas in Wales, I definitely recommend him, excellent communication, and I went to pick her up and he showed me his collection, which is massive! He had loads of babies for me to chose from, and was happy to hold the one I picked with a deposit for a couple of months until I was able to pick her up.

I have a pair of crawl cays
Care wise they are exactly the same as full size BCI... just smaller lol
Fass is CB06 and Maya is CB10 - they both eat small/medium rats (depending on where I buy their food).
On temperament, boas in general tend to be lovely - Maya is an absolute sweetheart but I don't think Fass got too much attention before I got her so can be a bit grouchy... don't know about baby temperament though!
Mine are around 3.5 - 4ft now and are a lot more active and curious than my royal. Can't see why they wouldn't make good first boas
Gazboas seems to be THE crawl cay man - no complaints here
