Posted - 30/12/2012 : 10:30:46 Common Boa?, She is approx 1 year old. 3ft x 2ft x 2ft viv, heated with 150w ceramic guarded and on a pulse stat. Ceramic on right hand side of viv. Small cat litter tray upside down for hide just off centre to ceramic. Large plastic tub half filled with water at back of viv in the middle (I believe some boas like to soak). Upside down cat litter tray on cool side of viv with shelf above this hide and a large bamboo pole running length of viv for her to climb on. Assortment of hanging plants and logs.
Temperature seems to vary from one care sheet to another so I am thinking an ambient temp of 26-32c with a hot spot of 33-35c?
Also at the age she is should I feed her every 7 days or every 10-14 days, don't want an overweight boa. The shop feeds her every 7 days at present.
Is a night time drop in temperatures really necessary?
I am sure to think of other questions so will post again on this thread as I think of them.
Thanks in advance for your advice/help. |
