Did you not check or ask the seller when you picked up?
Edit: You can try the damp pillowcase once he's settled and up to temperature but leave for a few more settling in days before trying anything else. |

Posted - 23/12/2012 : 15:03:38 I would try a damp cotton pillow case and leave him in that for an hour or so. The raised humidity plus the squirming against the pillow case might get it off.
Before diving in and scrubbing with a cotton bud or anything else, please read this topic on the Royal Python Forum first. Then read it again. http://www.theroyalpython.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3502 Are you sure it is a retained cap, you don't sound too sure.
