Posted - 06/12/2012 : 20:25:15 So after a long year with a lot of downs and fewer ups I have come out the other end :)
Sadly I decided due to circumstance and space to rehome my two corns. Lightning lives with a close friend and I see him often. And midnight was rehomed with a lovely lady with the help of Red123.
I decided to focus on crestie of which I now have 3 and 2 praying mantis.
And not forgetting hero the little sod who seemingly is not going to get very big very quickly.
Goyle
Tannin
TuLong
Both together
Lara ( hierodula majuscula ) Giant Rainforest Mantis
And the little unarmed one which I think is female, but is a teeny bit small for my eyes
And then there is the bane of my life
Hero
Thanks for looking

Posted - 07/12/2012 : 10:14:09 She is in a little pot about 2 inches high by 1 inch wide with a mesh lid. Although she's missing a back leg she is mega quick but calm if you add if that makes sense lol. To be honest 9 time out of ten they come straight out onto your hand. Lara is about 6 times as big and is it a fairly large container although she seem to be going into moult :) |

Posted - 07/12/2012 : 10:02:35 Love your cresties Georgina. And that Mantis is just sooo small. However do you find it in its tub lol. I am glad that we were able to find Midnight a good home, just pleased that I could help. |

Posted - 07/12/2012 : 08:39:50 That mantis is already 3 months old and he's that diddy lol I got her yesterday. After she had been at the shop two weeks. I wanted to make sure she was feeding before I brought her home. But she has eaten a few fruit flies when we got back so all good.
Tannin is beautiful, she fires up a golden brown and comes out when you open the rub and just lives cuddles. And she a chuck weighing in at 44g :)
Hero is currently in pitch black at 11 degrees. Not due to check on him for another 2-3 days :( |
