Posted - 28/11/2012 : 19:13:00 Yeah it won't be a rushed decision at all, we are going to make sure we have all the necessary equipment set up etc and doubles of heat mats and thermostats etc to make sure if anything breaks we can replace immediately, hubby wants geckos or bear dies for his pet as peaches is mine lol obviously we all love her though.
So excited for her first feed and shed and handling oh and the poo of course |

Posted - 28/11/2012 : 18:30:11 I think the minimum size for a leo is 2ft x 1ft but obviously that is quite small. Mine have a 3ft x 18" each. You can not keep two males together they will fight. A male and a female and obviously they will breed and this is not healthy for the female. Some people do keep females together. I did so myself as the two I have came to me living together supposedly happy together. Within a month one was attacking the other resulting in bite marks on her back and kneck. I would only ever advise people to house leos separately as this is something I have often seen people posting about and in all honesty mine seem alot happier on their own and enjoy human contact alot.
Don't rush in to getting other reptiles just as yet. I would wait awhile and get to know your new addition and enjoy him for a while before jumping in and getting more reptiles :) |
