Hi all, need some help identifing a gecko, he was brough into the local pet shop after being found on a truck which had come from spain! having done a google search i am wondering if he could be a moorish gecko? thoughts welcome. sorry the pic isnt very good he is a very small little guy!


on another note what on eath have they done to photobucket!!

he's gone to the college where i work we're goining to look after him. Because he wasn't part of their stock they couldnt sell him and they didnt want to give him to another pet shop so the college said they'd take him on. He's feeding well and has settle well into his new home. i'll keep you posted on his progress and hopfully will manage to get some decent photos of him!

From what I can make out with the stripy tail, the size of it and their abundance in Spain I'd say its a Mediterranean House Gecko (Hemidactylus turcicus).

he does look a bit like that though not as big, but we do think he is only a juvinile.

Well according to google, this is a Moorish gecko (AKA Crocodile gecko apparently)

i did try to do some more pics but he's really fast! he's about 2cm long too so really small. when am next in i'll have another attempt at getting some pics of him
