Posted - 30/06/2012 : 09:32:50 Hey guys..this is a gross subject but.
My boa did one when she first came to us that looked a bit like a mini cat poop. Since then she's done two more but they've been very runny yet still the dark poo colour.
Is this ok? She's just moved up to rat fuzzies and seems fine on them. She's shedding and eating well and I don't see any behaviour issues with her.
She doesn't go very often - once a month or longer. Last time I cleaned out her viv I found she'd also done a 'wee' that had gone to the bottom of her substrate and I had to scrub off the bottom of the viv. |

Posted - 04/07/2012 : 16:00:39 there poo's tend to be runnier until they start to move on to rats /mice with more hair . They cant digest the hair resulting in big poo's! And the bigger the boa the bigger the poo . i dont think my staffies are as big as what lexi leaves me ! |

Posted - 02/07/2012 : 06:48:04 Thanks Keh - I ended up posting it on some other forums and doing a bit of research. It sounds like it's mostly because she's young and been on rat pinkies with no fur - she's now moved up to rat fluffs which have a bit of fur and should firm that poop right up. (Lovely discussion to have!) |

From your description, there doesnt sound to be too much amiss. Runny ones happen if they have some nice big chugs of water not long before pooing as well. |
