Posted - 11/05/2012 : 23:06:40 thanks lota! well i have taken the bark out for now and replaced with reptile carpet so i can monitor pooping better for now anyway! and when they are bigger and i upgrade i plan on using real plants, sprintails ect and all that jazz! i also removed the bit of wood that was most mouldy i think its meant for dry conditions. its been deeply disinfected and cleaned ready to go into a dry viv :D |

Yep high humidity, heat, and all the sugaryness of the food and poop soon moulds up a crestie enclosure. You just have to keep on top of the cleaning, they are poop machines too so I would recommend a good clean out every few weeks. You can also employ the assistance of some woodlice or springtails to keep things clean, though expect your woodlice to disappear. [/quote lmao no way id put poor woodlice in with Fudge, wouldnt last 5 mins!! i use Komodo habitat branch or Lucky Reptile terra branch, rubbery, they are great, no mould on them |
