Posted - 11/05/2012 : 11:44:55 crickets are awfulll!! I remember when we had the beardies we sat watching tv and could hear it making that awful noise! We couldn't find it, turns out it was behind the unit so we had to spray fresh air down there and try and kill it, it was awful! I also found one in the washing basket (it was dead, perhaps the stinky socks did it) which was like 3 rooms away! God knows how it got in there!! Lol! |

Posted - 09/05/2012 : 01:01:35 When you get your crestie, and want to feed bugs, crickets are a nightmare! no matter how carefull you are they escape! Dubia c0ckroaches are fantastic, cant climb smooth surfaces, dont jump, when tiny are exactly like woodlice. just a couple sometimes i give 3. Twice a week. As for names, make a list of what you like, one might suit him |

Posted - 08/05/2012 : 02:10:41 Well if he wont eat it will try ferret, then dogs, the cat likes weird stuff so she might like it! |

Posted - 08/05/2012 : 00:15:02 lol, goyle would eat the entire tube if i let him, hence the uber small portions as he would fill up on that and not his rapashy :) |

Posted - 08/05/2012 : 00:10:01 I have some of that jam, Harley wont touch the stuff, I then tried feeding it to the Roaches, they didn't touch it, then tried feeding it to the snails and surprise surprise they didn't touch it. I think I might just put it on toast myself. |

Posted - 07/05/2012 : 23:48:56 also i just caught goyle drinking from his water bowl! i give up guessing what hes gonna do next. mines the lucky rep tropical jam for p@h. it was expensive, but its gonna last for ever he only has a sized dot every 3 days :) plus you have to keep it in the fridge. x |

I have just ordered some, bit expensive though, cost bit more than P@H due to postage, but if he likes it, worth every penny! |

Posted - 07/05/2012 : 23:33:59 they are daft, for the first few days i had his food in a small silver dish. but i have now put it in a bottle top and i have seen him eat loads.
i would keep his food bowl in the same place for the first few weeks as i have found that if i move it goyle goes looking in the same place all the time and i alternate where i put his fruit or his jam (special reptile jam, not actual jam :)) |

Posted - 07/05/2012 : 22:20:00 That just about covers it Georgina. I keep my heat mat a bit hotter though, 24-25oC stuck to one side. They are a bit thick and dont understand bowls so spraying is part for humidity and part so they can have a drink. I had trouble getting mine to take gecko food until I put it in a glass bowl so it could be seen, they really are daft. Oh and be prepared for extremely fast animals that can jump a massive distance. |
