My Staffy escaped because nextdoor bodged the fencing and left the main gate (onto the road) open, as a result, Stumpy got hit by a car :'O

Although he is coming across as being fine, he will be going to the vets as soon as I can get him in.

The guy who hit him didn't even stop, just carried on like nothing had happened.

I don't know whether to laugh, cry, go have my 2 pennies with the idiots next door or what!

Slightly overwhelmed with the amount of emotion running through me right now!

Oh no, I've only just seen this. You must have been terribly shaken by the incident at the time. So glad everything seems to be OK, and that landlord sounds like a decent bloke :)

My area is sOOOOO busy, I have a Gurdwara literally across the road, a furniture store on the corner and a few other businesses local so there are always vehicles whizzing around, so they may not even be from my city! and the area is predominantly asian who seem to hate dogs too anyway so its trying to find a needle in a haystack scenario.

I'll justv keep a lookout for the silver car with the 6 tufts of fur on it lol.

Thanks for all the well wishes :)

Glad he is ok. You are supposed to find owner if possible and inform the police.

So glad i read your post now that he is seeming to be ok xxx
And it is also great the landlords reaction
If that was my dog the neighbour would have been cowering in fear

sounds like a good landlord, there is an up side to the emergancy vets not being concered... no out of hours vet bill and over the phone advise is free! glad stumpy is ok

Thanks everyone.

I think my shock has gone now, had the cry and seeing things in a not so hysterical way!
Stumpy is acting all normal, no limping or crying etc, has been to my brothers for another quick check over, and has been playing with his dog so no real concern. He will still be going to the vets monday for a check up, so called emergency vets aren't concerned as he is behaving normally!

I have been to see the landlord of the neighbour and he will be going to see them for their stupidity, as not only have they endagered 2 dogs lives, but also risking the safety of his two properties! He is also coming to repair/replace his gate (right side is his responsibilities) and actually seemed quite concerned. His first sentence after my 'rant' was how asking the dog is now and apologising on behalf of the tenants.

Fingers crossed :)
