Thanks to all of you who have expressed concern over Echo. Unfortunately she never recovered and was in obvious pain so this morning my little girl was very sadly put to sleep. I never found out what was wrong with her and stupidly didn't think about asking for a post mortem as I was in a state and due to the school holidays I had my 2 very upset children with me too.
She was buried this afternoon and her favourite hide is now a memorial to her.
I'm absolutely devastated over it all and missing her loads already.  |

This is a great shame, I am sorry that it couldnt be sorted out. you did the right thing, unfortunately the hardest thing to do sometimes is the right thing! Hopefully the others will be ok, which i am sure they are. |

I'm really sorry to hear about this poor girl.The main things is that she had a lovely owner who cared very muched and tried to do everything for her though. |

Thankyou all. Had a little cry at some of the lovely things said here.
I'm hoping and praying its nowt contagious and keeping tabs on the other snakes,particularly her brother Eli. The others are all feeding,defecating and shedding ok including Eli who last shed on the 27th Dec (was stressing loads about it) I nearly cried with joy and relief when he almost burst his mouse on the 29th Dec.
I think my stomach will be churning though for some time :-/ |

Oh no! I'm so very sorry for your loss. It's a horrible decision to have to make but it's the last loving act that we can do for our beloved pets. At least you know that she is no longer suffering.

So so sorry to hear this news hun. Somehow I managed to miss the other thread so have just caught up on what you have been through. You did everything you could to give her a fighting chance and in the end showed her the greatest love of all. She is at peace and without pain now. Huge hugs to you and your family xxxx |
