Posted - 26/08/2011 : 14:09:09 Why do my skinks try to leap onto the uv tube light and heat lamp. I do not have guards on them at the moment so have to make sure all decor is a safe distance from the lights so they do not burn themselves. Why are mine obsessed with leaping for the lights? I have seen viv pics with berber skinks sitting happily underneath unguarded lights. I have come across these lights http://www.gekozone.co.uk/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=12&category_id=8&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=53 are they any good and do anyone know any other websites that I can find them or even what they are called. I have contacted Gekozone but have heard nothing back yet. I am concerned that if I get normal guards the skinks will cling to them and may get burnt that way. Thanks.

Posted - 02/09/2011 : 06:35:41 how old are they? when beardies are young they go throught a stage of jumping at the uv light then stop doing it, the 6 month old beardie i had did this for about a month then stopped
