Hi,

Ive been on holiday recentley, and I thought I would share some of my wildlife pics, see who can work out where I went by identifying the animal species.

Section 1 - Wild Reptiles and Amphibians

Q1. Found in the garden of the ranch I was staying on.

Q2. Found on a window at dusk.

Q3. I first so this basking on top of a mountain called Mt Scott.

Section 2 - Captive snakes in the local zoo, they are all native to where I was staying. Half of me wanted to find these in the wild the other half certainly did not.

Q4.

Q5.

Q6.

Section 3 - Bonus round.

Q7.

Q8.

Q9.

Q10. What country and what region was I in?

Heres another clue -

I was hoping to find more snakes, I went out looking for snakes everyday.

Enjoy the pics, no prizes for winner

Chris

Thanks for the comments guys.

The lizard was a fun one to get, it was basking on a rock so I tried to get closer, everytime i got close it legged it, so i was scrambling over the rocks and eventually got a pic but it was out of focus, then it dissapeared again, i managed to track it down again in that rock crevis.

I didn't think I was going to get the humming bird pic i wanted, i tried every day and had many failed attempts, they are so quick, eventually i found a place that had a load of feeders and got a few nice pics.

Scaly isn't far off with Texas. And the Buffalo/Bison (same thing) were at a wildlife refuge so they were kind of wild.

No unfortunately not Yellowstone, nowhere near as exciting as that but it was still a brilliant experience.
