Hi gang.

Mrs is thinking of another snake now. She has a spotted python and wants something else small, manageable and friendly. Rosy boa seems like a good choice but just wondering what others think, and maybe what other snakes would work?

Cheers!

ok thanks everyone for the suggestions. She says she's going to mull it over for a little while.

House snake or crawl cray. I have to say I'm not keen on rosy's either.

I have both Rosy and Sand Boas in my collection and they are beautiful, I also have crawl cays, sonoran, vera cruz and tarahumara boas. I've had Royals too but only looked after them for friends and gotten a few bad eaters, eating again.

Royal Pythons are a nice small but heavy bodied snake(yeah bit of a contradiction lol). They aren't everyones cup of tea but I love mine, he is totally different to my cornsnake and a million miles away from my Hogg Island Boa. A bit shy but a lovely snake when you get an understanding with them about their needs.

You could also check out sand boas and hognose snakes.
Or house snakes!!!

I like a boa to look like a boa if you know what I mean.

She just wants something that isn't going to grow that big and is pretty placid, and a rosy seems to fit the bill for her. But I'm sure there are other flavours out there too that would be suitable.
