Im 16 and i live with my nan who hates snakes but she says as long as there in my room thats fine soo i got a corn snake and said no more. until i caught the bug :) so i got another corn and now i want something different about 2 weeks ago i saw a very tame 3ft male common boa for sale i pm'd the person selling it and they didnt reply so i thought they sold it. yesterday i saw a advert for a 2ft coastel carpet python i pm'd the person who got back straight away now there exactly the same price and 2 very different animals does anyone have any suggestions and believe me im considering both lol

Would you say a 6ft male would be handleablt by one person ?

we have a variety of both species.......

although i much prefer my boas, most carpets will be handleable by one person whereas a boa might not be, that might be a deciding factor

First thing I would say is have you done any research?

Do you know how big a common boa is when fully grown? Do you know what size housing they need? Heating type? Same with a Coastal Carpet Python?

If they are going to be kept in your room and your nan doesn't like snakes then I would not suggest you get them! Maybe stick with corns until you have your own place. Or if your after something different maybe a King snake?
