my BRB hasnt fed for nearly 3 weeks. he is aprx 6 months old around 15 inches long and the width of a decent pen. he was supposedly feeding on 2 pinkies at the store but ready to move to fuzzies. i was advised to keep him on pinkies one more feed as i had moved him etc. he had one pinky the first week (refused the 2nd) one pinky the next refused the next week and refused this week and is due a feed on saturday. i offered fuzzies and pinkies this week for the first time. He shed aprx 10 days ago. temp is around 79*c-80*c in the daytime at warm end, 75 in cool end and 75 in warm at night.(still fine tuning temp ) Humidity is around 85%, water changed daily/ 2 daily and on coconut block substrate. 3 hiding places and a large sphagnum moss heap (as well as a basking spot and climbing branches). temp regulated by habistat, measured by exoterra digistat, heated by blue bulb.
i know the feeding isnt a problem in itself, they can go MUCH longer. the worry is this behaviour is coupled with a strange tendency to scuff his nose a lot, similar to a snake trying to shed. his skin seems to have all come off, and im 99.9% sure his spectacles came off too. i have no idea why he is doing this, any suggestions?
ps sorry for asking here first but you lot are a bit more active here than on thebrb forum and im a tad worried [:S]
