Welcome to the forum Jase! This is a great forum with lots of experienced owners happy to give their advice and support. You also get lots of fun and friendship . Having already had Maizy for a year I am sure you know a lot about snake keeping already, so sorry if I am guiding you to information you already know...but it is better heard twice than not at all.

The forum provides great information. The best place to look is http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/corn_snake_care_sheet.htm, it has lots of information for new snake owners. Also read this topic on 'Your 1st Snake' http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=4133

Kellog is a fantastic name - so unique !! For suggestions on other snake names this link will give you a 'few' ideas - http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=6673&whichpage=1&SearchTerms=names

Are you keeping 'Gavin and Stacey' together? It may be worthwhile reading this link so you can be informed of the different opinions on this and the dangers involved, especially when they are babies - http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=7508&SearchTerms=co-habiting

You have probably already experienced this, but unfortunately with many pet shops you cannot trust what they are telling you . We often double check anything we have been told on here. Remember that no question is regarded as a silly question .....it is much better asked and answered, you will probably find others who want the info too! First place to look is in the top right hand corner of the screen where there is a search button...type in what you are worried about and see if you can find an answer, if not then dont hesitate to ask!

I am not sure if you do this already, but I keep 'Snake Diaries', noting things like weight, length, feeding dates and what you feed, shedding dates, health problems. I know it seems a bit over the top but it is actually really helpful keeping track of your snake's health - I even note when Kellog and Silvesta poo !!

Well done for complying with the unwritten forum rule of pics as soon as possible - you got them up in your first welcome post !

You obviously dont need the warning that corn snakes are addictive .....and yes, the majority of us have stood up, said "hello my name is **** and I am addicted to corns........! And I am proud of it!" You are well down that corn path already!!

the lighter on is the girl, the camera doesn't do them justice lol shes got yellows creams and oranges. the shop guy said creamsicle but i lean towards amel aswell because of the white around the back markings. just got to think of names now. i was going with kellogs and but i'm not the first to come up with that pun so back to the drawing board. kids want them called gavin and stacey as we live in barry where its filmed lol

your snakes look lovely - going on that pic id hazard a guess as Violet being an anery or possibly a ghost.. your female (assuming its the high white snake) looks like an amel to me
