Hi to you all.
I Have my 1st Corn Carolina at the tender age of 60+ (me not the snake) had the hatchling a week now who escaped the other night through one of the cable inlets in the top of an exo terra terrarium after I fitted a temp sensor and forgot to close up the other holes after with slider. Named "Rocky" since the first thing he did was attempt to climb the background when put in the terrarium. Its installed on a space in a tall 7ft built in bookcase/cupboard system. Once I realised he had gone after last seeing him 2-3hrs earlier and knowing if I did not find him the "cat" would. I pulled of a load of books to see if he was behind them, having approx 200 books this could take a while! then I thought he always wants to go up, so stopping that I went straight to the top of the bookcase and "Bingo" wrapped arround an ornament on the top shelf there he was. I knew I had to find him ASAP as our cat is a killer/hunter and by the morning I would have found him dead as another present from the cat!
Took his first "Pinkie" last night after refusing others due to settling in period, I had to feed him in terrarium against posted advice as he got a bit "stressy" when in container with it so I put it on a small container lid to prevent or hope to it getting any substrate on it. Seems happy enough this morning when I took a "Peek" just to see he was still with us.
At least now I have a timing period of when he should take his next feed now so just going to leave him alone now for a few days to digest it
That's about it Folks (Good Forum I must Say) Found lots of good info to get me going..

Thanks again, still get a bit confused over feeding times(5,7 or 10 days) for approx 2 month hatchling and where to site heat pad (inside/outside,side or base) on a Glass terrarium .Finaly temperature 72 - 75 (f) or 75 - 80 (f) seem to find a lot of conflicting information on web ?... Regards... Les

Thanks for the warm welcome folks. I shall make sure he does not escape again.
For those who dont know the cable holes are only about 5-6mm dia. Still now he is eating as soon as he grows a bit more thats one option he wont have
