Posted - 19/07/2009 : 23:46:47 MY SNOW CORN LAYED EGGS ON 25 JUNE IT WAS ONLY 5 ONE SEEMS TO BE GETTING BIGGER THE REST WENT YELLOW N DIED I DIDNT NO SHE WAS UP THE DUFF WE GOT THE SNAKES AT THE SAME TIME HERBIE THE MALE A CAROLINA BIG N GREEDY SCARES ME N CASPER MY SNOW CORN WHOW IS SLIM N GENTLE NEEDLESS 2 SAY ONCE I READ UP ON THE MATING I REALISED I MISSED ALL THE SIGNS BUT IT DOES HELP IF YOU WERNT TOLD THAT THEY WERE BOTH FEMALHES WHEN I BOUGHT THEM A YEAR PAST N FEBUARY THEY WERE 6 WEEKS OLD CASPER SHED 2 WEEKS AGO WHICH MEANS SHE WOULD BE FERTILE AGAIN BUT ANOTHER PREGNANCY COULD KILL HER AS SHE IS SO YOUNG THE CAROLINA HERBIE IS AT MY PARTNERNS HOUSE IN A BOX WITH A HEAT MAT HES BUILDIND A VIV FOR HIM BUT WHAT IM WUNDERININ IS IF WE GO YO BREED NEXT YEAR WILL THEY GAT ON N CAN WE HIBIRNATE THEM TOGETHER THIS YEAR AS IVE NEVER DONE IT BEFORE ALSO IF THE EGG DOES SURVIVE IS THERE A CHANCE THAT THE MOTHER COULD EAT IT OR SOULD I JUST KEEP IT IN A SMALL CONTAINER IN THE VIV AS I DONT TH8INK I CAN INTERBREED IT PLEASE GIVE ME ANY USEFUL INFO THANX |

Posted - 20/07/2009 : 00:08:03 im no expert but you should house hatchlings seperately as far as i know you dont NEED to put them into hibernation they can breed without it and i think a snake should be 3 foot and 3 years before there safe to lay eggs, but as i said im no expert so correct me if im wrong and welcome to the forum ! also dont mean to sound like an **** but posting all in caps is difficult to read and gets on peoples(my) nervous
