Hello and welcome to the forum, both of you :-)

That's great to hear . Not all snakes strike and constrict, although it's wonderful when they do. A couple of mine are seriously lazy and just examine the mouse and then either take it gently or wait until I lie it down . Having had my first corn refuse to eat from when I got him and for the next 13 weeks, I'm very much of the opinion that all that matters is that they eat! As she's already coiling hopefully she will start to strike at some point. A little teasing with the mouse, making it 'dance' and move away from her a bit, might encourage her.

Hi, it is really good that you and your corn have joined us. What's her name? She is a beauty. This is a great forum with lots of experienced owners happy to give their advice and support. You also get lots of fun and friendship . If you're a Facebook user you can also join our group on there - https://www.facebook.com/groups/31273049277/

I'm sure you've already browsed the TCS site and forum, so you've probably already looked at these threads....but better heard twice than not at all. I know you've had her a few months but it's worth reading the Care Sheet and Setting Up A Hatchling Corn Snake - My 101 is a good place to double check that your set-up for her is ok. You'll also find lots more in General Keeping Information - Stickies , including a thread on feeding. You'll see from that that you did the right thing moving her up to fuzzies. The 'bump' guide is the best way to judge whether your snake is getting the right food or not. How often are you feeding her?

If you can't find what you want to know using the search option, then please don't hesitate to ask. We don't bite....much . In the top right corner, by the search option, is 'Active topics'. You can use that to access those threads that have been commented on since you last logged in.

A word of warning, this won't be your last corn....they are addictive .

Hi and welcome :D As above if double pinks weren't leaving a bump then it was definitely time to move her up so don't worry :)

Hello and welcome, lovely snake
Mine is also 4 months old and im feeding her fuzzies now. Snakes grow at different rates so age doesn't play a massive part in it. If there wasn't a noticeable bump after her meal anymore then it's usually time to move up prey size, as long as it is no more than 1.5 times wider than the widest part of her body. Hope that helps

EDIT: Ah, i was 30 seconds too late haha

She looks like she's handling it okay. My 3 month olds are still on pinks but some are definitely going to be thinking about fuzzies soon. You were right to do double pinks for a while, you'll be surprised how fast she'll grow now she's on fuzzies :p

She is around 4 months old, is she too young to be on fuzzies as seen people feeding pinks around that age?

i went to double pinks but wasnt really leaving a bump so put on fuzzies, is that right?
