Hi,
I am new to snake keeping but looking forward to seeing a June hatchling tonight.
The owner has been very helpful so I am sure it will go very well.
He is a normal type mother okeetee farther butter I think.
I am hoping he will keep his chocolate red colourings as he grows as my daughter does not like the cream coloured snakes.
I think the one I like has missed one meal but this is not likley to be a reason to worry as he has eaten all his others. I like the fact that he is a little older and has been eating for longer.
Now to hope he likes his new RUB 9l with 2 hides and water bowl. I think a toilet roll between the hides might be a good idea until I ger a plant.
It will be hard to leave him for a week but I think I am more worried about his eating patterns than his handling.
Wish us luck
Hilly.

Missing one feed is nothing to worry about at all, and from what I understand, is actually quite good for a hatchling. Also, second what Scary said about Ian's Vivarium - great site.

Welcome :)

If you go onto Ians vivarium and look up wild type corn snake, you'll see picture variations of how your snake will look when adult :)

Thanks for the replies.I think he just might just end up with a lighter background to his red brown patches, if that makes any sense.
Does it matter that he missed one feed?
I will try to get a pic but don't want to upset him.... I think I am a little paranoid about upsetting his feedings!

He will definitely change colour dramatically as he grows - but if he is a normal then he will end up very red/orange colouring. He could not turn cream unless he was a butter (or a snow) himself, in which case at the moment he would be a very pale white/orangey/yellowy/pinky colour.

Good luck tonight :)
