Posted - 23/10/2013 : 20:17:35 Hello and welcome looking forward to seeing pics of your new snake, when you get one...
Most babies do tame quickly ( though they're very fast and jumpy at first ) - but try to handle your new snake, before you buy it, and if you can, pick up one that's already calm. I've got 3, and my very first one, Bazilishka, was very nervous as a hatchling - and still is, even now, she never quite grew out of it. Little Twid is lovely and calm, and Seb ( my re home ) is confident and fast, and will bite me if I smell of cat :-) They're all different personalities.
I loved starting with a baby snake, as you get to know each other well, and little "shoelaces" aren't scary for a first timer :-) |

Posted - 23/10/2013 : 18:44:05 Hello and welcome
You can never truly tame a snake, you can get it used to being handled and it will put up with you doing so but that is about it. Corns are one of the most placid to own and lots of people handle on a regular basis without any issues (well maybe poop on from time to time but that comes with keeping ) so do lots of reading and hopefully we will soon be looking at some pictures of your new family member |
