Posted - 05/07/2013 : 04:35:29 Just saying hi. I'm new to keeping reptiles and I will be getting a corn snake in the next few weeks. Just taking my time, doing my research and making sure I buy the correct setup. I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions to ask. Thanks Mark. |

Posted - 05/07/2013 : 11:00:18 Hi Mark, it is really good that you have joined us. It is fantastic that you are doing your research before getting your corn , unfortunately not everyone is like you . Hopefully you'll find that this is a great forum with lots of experienced owners happy to give their advice and support. You also get lots of fun and friendship .
I'm sure you've already browsed the TCS site and forum, so you've probably already looked at these threads....but better heard twice than not at all. The best places to start are the Care Sheet and Your 1st snake. I'm assuming its a hatchling that you are going to get, in which case Setting Up A Hatchling Corn Snake - My 101 is definitely required reading. As everyone has said you'll also find a lot of information on viv set-up, feeding, shedding and handling in General Keeping Information - Stickies
If you can't find what you want to know using the search option, then please don't hesitate to ask. We don't bite....much .
Pics are compulsory, of course. Hopefully this will help - How to post images using Photobucket ....although it is playing up at the moment .....So you need to look at this as well Photobucket update . You can also post pics via Facebook, just right click on the photo and select copy URL and add them between the [img] tags.
A word of warning, this won't be your last corn....they are addictive .

Posted - 05/07/2013 : 08:06:50 Hi and welcome to the forum. I'm so pleased you're doing research first. Have a look at the stickies and our caresheet, both a wonderful source of information. I'm about an hours drive from London up the M11 and have some hatchlings ready to go if you're interested....all very well cared for and very comprehensive records. |
