Posted - 02/07/2013 : 23:25:58 Just introducing myself but only a short one for now. Looks like I'm adopting my first corn, after she turned up one morning uninvited and scared me half to death, but after falling for her we've given her a home after help from predators exotics nearby who looked after her for a week to see if her family turned up. |

Posted - 06/07/2013 : 20:03:37 Wow thanks for all replies, been really useful information on here and did too the scales on my decision to try n keep her but so glad I found out about corn snakes. I'll be posting pics soon but for now I'm being careful as if her family turned up with a good description then obviously it is their snake n not mine but so like her to stay. Thanks all. |

Posted - 03/07/2013 : 19:15:44 Hi Andy, I'm really glad that you have joined us. This is a great forum with lots of experienced owners happy to give their advice and support. You also get lots of fun and friendship . It's so good of you to take this corn on, although I'm not surprised you've been won over by her. A word of warning, she won't be your last....corns are addictive .
I'm sure you've already browsed the TCS site and forum, so you've probably already looked at these threads....but better heard twice than not at all. The best places to start are the Care Sheet, which is helpful, and Your 1st snake. You haven't mentioned how old she is, but if she is young then Setting Up A Hatchling Corn Snake - My 101 is definitely required reading and if she is an adult then Setting Up An Adult Corn Snake - My 101 is a good place to start. You'll also find a lot of information on viv set-up, feeding, shedding and handling in General Keeping Information - Stickies
If you can't find what you want to know using the search option, then please don't hesitate to ask. We don't bite....much .
Pics are compulsory, of course. Hopefully this will help - How to post images using Photobucket ,although it is playing up at the moment .....So you need to look at this as well Photobucket update . You can also post pics via Facebook, just right click on the photo and select copy URL and add them between the [img] tags.
I'm so glad she chose your house to turn up at, even if she did scare you !
Xxx
