Posted - 19/06/2013 : 07:29:19 Just a small comment Vector. If you look in the top right hand corner there is a link called 'active topics'. If you click on that when you log in then you'll see everything that's happened since you were last here, so you don't have to go looking. Means you don't get confused and comment on old threads. And if you want to find something in particular then there is the search link. Hope that helps .

Posted - 17/06/2013 : 07:20:27 Here is definitely the best place for information . I've seen some of the Snakebytes tv stuff and some of its good, but some of it isn't....you just need to be careful about what advice you follow. I know it's hard to know what's right and what's wrong when you're getting different information, but if in doubt then check on here....or ask Herriotfan .
It's amazing that you are already thinking about setting up a breeding business! Don't rush things though. Take time with your first snake and don't be in too much of a hurry to get your next one. Learn as your little one grows, enjoy it, and when you feel confident enough and truly believe that you understand the responsibilities involved in taking on animals that are going to live as long as snakes do and can cost a lot of money, with vivs when they grow up, food, vets expenses if something goes wrong....then get your second snake .

Posted - 16/06/2013 : 17:57:32 Welcome . Anyone who is a friend of Herriotfan is a friend of mine . You've probably already been sneaking around on the forum and seen what a great place it is, with lots of experienced owners happy to give their advice and support.
I know you will have learnt a lot from Herriotfan, but its good to do your own research too. The best place to start is the Care Sheet, which is helpful. Also have a look at Your 1st snake and, as it is a hatchling you are going to get, then Setting Up A Hatchling Corn Snake - My 101 is definitely required reading. You'll also find a lot of information on viv set-up, feeding, shedding and handling in General Keeping Information - Stickies .
If you can't find what you want to know using the search option, then please don't hesitate to ask. We don't bite....much .
Pics are compulsory when you do get your little one . Hopefully this will help - How to post images using Photobucket ....although it is playing up at the moment .....So you need to look at this as well Photobucket update . You can also post pics via Facebook, just right click on the photo and select copy URL and add them between the [img] tags. And maybe you can help Herritofan post her pics as well !
Try not to worry about the fact that your little hatchling hasn't eaten yet. Its not very old and they can go quite a long time before they feel like they want to feed because they are full from the nutrients after being inside their egg. When it's reasy to eat it will . I hope you realise that this won't be your last corn....they are addictive !
