We have just got our new corn snake about two weeks ago . He is called Oscar he is about seventeen inches long and weighs eighteen grams. Oscar is eating well and had his first shed with us today (which is my birthday). I am trying to put photos of him on and a video of him starting to shed which was when my son
was handling him . I will keep trying . Nice to meet you all I have been reading your forum since we got Oscar.

Hi Jack, it is really good that you, and Oliver, have joined us! This is a great forum with lots of experienced owners happy to give their advice and support. You also get lots of fun and friendship . I am so glad that you've been skulking about in the shadows reading up about corns on here since you got Oscar  . Obviously I don't know what you've read, or how much you know, so sorry if I'm guiding you to places you've already been....but it is better heard twice than not at all.
The best place to look is the Care Sheet, which is very helpful. As Oscar is a hatchling then Setting Up A Hatchling Corn Snake - My 101 is definitely required reading.
I'm so glad you managed to put up a pic of Oliver, he's gorgeous . Unfortunately Photobucket is playing up at the moment so it's not easy  . You can use Facebook as well...but I don't have a clue how!
It sounds as though Oscar is settling in really well....and what a wonderful birthday present, to see him shed  ! There will be a lot of jealous forum members who haven't seen their snakes shed despite having them for years .
If you can't find the information you need using the search option then please don't hesitate to ask questions....the only silly question is the one you don't ask  .

Wow, you're very lucky to see your snakes first shed. Lots of people on here have never witnessed it at all. It's awesome to watch isn't it?
