Posted - 20/03/2013 : 17:49:07 hi, i'm callum i'm 15 years old and have got a corn snake called kenny. kenny has not always been mine, he lived with another person but they moved on a narrow boat and the winters where just too cold even with heat mats ( he couldn't use heat bulbs because he electricity came from a small generator). anyway kenny came our way has we had previously kept a corn snake very successfully. kenny is now mine as i love looking after an animal. I had always thought that kenny was female due to her tail length, we had never got him sexed as i didn't really need to know. so for many years i had called him a her. but because i moved house in his new position he gets a lot more natural light, and i think that this has triggered him to try and find a mate this then lead me to believe he is in fact a he. this was then semi confirmed with a phone call with mark at amey zoo. he said that it is normal for a male corn to do this. anyway, kenny is a creamsicle corn and he is in fact 19 years old he is just under 5 foot roughly and is a fantastic feeder. he is fed on frozen thawed mice medium size. two a feed. i will post pics up soon thanks for reading. callum |
