Hello guys/girls im looking at getting my first ever corn snake been doing all my research on them and feel pretty confident about owning one, the only thing im not too sure about is what type to get, been looking at lavenders (think they look awsome) any recomendations?

Ps is it to late/early to get a hatchling or do corn snakes breed all year round?

Thanks for your time!
Luke

Welcome to the forum, hopefully your other half will get used to your snake - my hubby was all against, until one day, when I asked him to keep an eye on my then little Bazilishka, whilst I was cleaning the viv etc. She was in a feeding tub, but when I came back, hubby had her out, having a sneaky handling session :-). He's still against having more snakes ( got 2 ), but, funnily enough, every time I got one of the snakes out, he wants to hold them... :-)

The other half isnt keen on the idea of a snake at all but him/her will be in my game room where it is nice and quiet for him/her (especially for first week) so excited can not wait to go buy one just searching the net constantly on the look out :p

(Apologies for spelling using my tablet -_-)

No question at all about that, they're very addictive.
No hope for you at all I'm afraid, once you take that first step on the slippery slope......

Hi and welcome.
There may be some of last years hatchling around to buy.
The breeding season is just starting for this year so the little ones will be coming onto the market during early summer.
If you want an older snake look on some of the websites like preloved, petclassified etc.
So glad you've done your research. I'm sure it will pay off. You'll still come up with some things you want help with when you get your snake. Please ask, we're friendly on here and all try to give each other a helping hand....

888reptiles have got many different morphs, if your after one you can get from the shop try Pets at home, they should have some of last years left although there a little pricy.
