Hi all. Recently bought my first snake, a 2 year old corn, from Wharf Aquatics in Notts. Very pleased with him and likely to be needing lots of advice as I go along.

If you have a question/ problem open your own topic in the right section, i did find your question on someone elses thread, and Chris HAD answered you, correctly saying its better to have kitchen roll for spotting poop, if after that still a problem, come back.
This is a very helpful/friendly forum and you WILL get an answer

Er what ARE you talking hijacking someone else's thread about??? The only other post of yours I can find has been replied to... And was posted after this one... I can only assume you have deleted a post or 2??

He's a beautiful snake. But did you say he was a blood red? Does he have red eyes or is that just the picture?

Just seen the post about his shed. Yep, complete shed.
T-Bone Posted - 13/02/2013 : 19:10:48
Here's an effort to add a picture as promised. He's actually a bit darker than the photo

Great news, all the first hurdles over with successfully!! Did you check the shed to make sure the eyecaps and tail tip came off OK? :)
T-Bone Posted - 08/02/2013 : 16:51:51
Yep. He shed the other day. I just came into the room as he was finishing off. I have a nice snake skin onesy now!
Fed him last night. No probs.
Thanks again.

Hi and welcome - has he shed yet?! Mine seem to take ages - usually a week after clearing!

You could offer a feed if you want to. Snakes all vary, some will eat while going through the shedding process and others won't. It won't do him any harm to try.

hello and welcome. after the blue stage they go back to normal for around 3-6 days then shed.
T-Bone Posted - 05/02/2013 : 18:14:44
I bought the blood red. He's very good natured and doesn't seem to mind being handled at all. Unfortunately I'd handled him a couple of times before I read about leaving to settle in for 7 days. I left him alone for a while after that.

He's had afeed. That was very quick and easy.

He seems to spend nearly all of his time in his hide, though. A few days ago he went very milky. I exopected he was about to shed so left him alone. It happened a couple of days before his feed was due so I missed that feed out. That would have been last Friday. He'snow back to normal colour but I can't see any shed skin. I'm giving him a couple more days before I disturb him though.

Is all this normal?

Oh yeah. I'll try to sort some pictures soon when I know he's ok.
