Hi there.
I've already done a couple of posts but thought I will properly introduce myself.
I'm Kelly and 23 years old. My 6 year old brother Max was actually the one who mithered for a snake after holding a Burmese python at a reptile show. He is reptile mad and whilst all his friends play football, you will find him down near the pond looking for frogs or looking under rocks to find all sorts of creepy crawlies. He asked my dad one night whilst he was drunk and my dad said yes. Well he regretted it the next day but Max went on and on about it everyday. I eventually said I will look after it in my room when I researched corn snakes and fell in love with their little cute faces and my dad eventually agreed.
Well we've had Pearl (a normal cornsnake) since early July and she's great Never had any problems with feeding and she's had two successful sheds with us. Had a problem with mites but caught them straight away so caused no harm to Pearl. She's really friendly and is so good with Max.
Will post up to date pics later on. She's just shed so will leave her a bit until she comes out tonight but in the mean time there is a small pic of her in my sig.
So sorry for the really long intro but thought if I was going to introduce myself then I will do it properly haha.
Thanks for reading!

haha. It does sound like that doesn't it. In this family we know that if we want something, always ask when my dad has a few drinks down him lol. More likely to get it. Max gets everything he want though because he's the one boy out of 5. If I asked for a snake there would be no chance!!

Hi and welcome, its nice to hear how your brother has such a passion for reptiles and amphibians at such a young age, hopefully it will stay and a great career and life can be had in this field.

Hey

I wouldn't worry over much about your little bro... he sounds like he's up to the same sort of things that David Suzuki was up to at that age...
