Hi everyone,
New owner here picked George up on Saturday he is a 7 month old Corn snake. I love him already! He has had his first feed and seems very happy in his new home and likes being handled! So glad I found this forum finally some people who understand my love for snakes!

Welcome to the forum!
Congrats on your new little one :)
I wouldn't worry too much, it depends on the individual snake.
It IS advisable to leave a week to settle but I find a few days more than enough as long as your confident enough to know if the snake is stressed. I handled mine the day after I got them...Im naughty :P

Thanks for the welcomes :)

I didnt handle him for 48 hours but didn't know about the week thing, the place we got him from said hold him before you put him in his home for a few mins then leave him 24 hours :( well he seems happy shall I leave him for a few days now?

Hi and welcome!

Just to let you know it is recommended to leave snakey a week to settle before you handle or feed and always leave 48hrs after feeding before handling to allow snakey to digest!
