Posted - 21/08/2012 : 13:48:26 Hello everyone!
I found this site a couple of days ago and have been having a good look around so I thought I'd join up.
My name's Mike and I live in the south east UK. I don't actually own a corn at the moment but did have one for ten years. Unfortunately she died a few years ago and my circumstances since then have prevented me getting another. I'm still very interested in corns though, and will definitely be keeping an eye on this site for the interesting threads and pictures you guys post. I'll also be putting up some classifieds at some point. I still have the viv and equipment hanging around - I always intended on getting another corn but circumstances are forcing me to sell :(
That's enough about me for now. Thanks for reading!
Mike.

Posted - 21/08/2012 : 21:08:11 Got some pics. Her name was Regan btw :)
I didn't have a camera when I owned her - I never was one for taking photos - but I had an old disposable at one point so I took these. Had to scan them etc, so they're far from good quality, but they're the only ones I have :( I got a digital camera just before she died. Had I known she was on the way out I would have snapped away like crazy, but didn't get the chance in the end.
She ended up a lot bigger than this. I had her in a 4ft x 2ft x 2ft viv in the end and she would stretch right along the front edge with her tail 2/3 the way along the side wall. Final measurement was 5'6''!
I took her to nearby woodland, to a favourite place of mine where I always stop for lunch when out for a walk.
Still miss her

This site is making we want to get another corn now. I came here because I'm still very interested in them, despite not being in the position where I can keep one, but it's difficult not to after reading through some of your threads and seeing the fantastic pictures.
I'll have to dig out some old pics of mine to share with you.

True! I got my first corn in 1995 (when I was 10) and there was so much less info available back then! |
