Hi everyone,I'm from the midlands area, I'm new the this forum, and will shortly be the owner of 2 baby cornsnakes, I've always loved snakes since I was a child and there are a lot of people out there that think eiww, but how can they not love them ? especially as they have such cute faces.
I'm reading and reading and doing some more reading lol, I'm sure I will ask questions, although I do prefer to be the wallflower, and just gather infomation, some of it conflicts, but hey ho :)
The babys corns I'm getting are relitavly young, born at the begining of July (need to get exact date, for birthday purposes) and I'm sure many of you wont agree to me getting them yet, they had their 1st feed last night (11/7/12) and will have their next in around 5 days or so, thats when the lady will let me have them.
The babys parents are a Snow father, and Amel mother, I've been to see them and they are looked after well, even me as a novice can tell that.
I have a 3ft viv with I'm going to section down the middle, to make their own enclosures whilst still young, although they will be coming in their own containers ( I will be using these till they are settled within my viv)
Then my husband will be making a permanant feature within a wall alcove, for when they outgrow this viv.

Great site btw.

Scorpyshake (I dont own scorpions, as they name may suggest) :)

I've got a name for my snake if it's a boy, not sure what it would be for a girls though, my daughter has chosen a girls names for her snake, but not for the boy yet lol,
I'm keeping my boy name under wraps for now, as I haven't seen it used yet

thankyou all for the welcomes :)

Hello an welcome :-)

It will be a while before there big enough for even half a 3 ft viv each, and escape rates are high for small snakes an big vivs. An hatchie tubs won't last long. You would be better off buying 2 fauns or rubs which will last a while.

I was thinking of putting the rubs into the viv for now, till they are bigger, sorry I haven't worked out yet how to quote lol

Hi there, I too have not been on here for long, with my son acquiring his baby Carolina corn (Frank) about four weeks ago. Its amazing how much we have learnt in a short space of time and how completely attached and in love with Frank we are. We are used to feeding him now and Frank has had one shed, amazing! Welcome
