Hi all my name is Alex 27 from Cornwall.

Im looking into getting my first snake, a corn snake, from a reputable breeder in my town.

I am a complete beginner with snakes so please go easy and bear with me.

I have seen the corn i would like to get and am arranging to go and have a handle and better look at her.

Im extremely excited, but im not going to rush into anything i want to do it right or not at all, so 1st thing i need to look into is a vivarium.

I will keep you all updated with my progress as we go.

Cheers an gone!!

Welcome! Make sure you read all the stickies on here and have a good rummage through the threads - there is untold amounts of information on here! As Paulie said you may want to look at a cheap RUB to start off with, and make sure you have a stat on your heat mat and pick up some digital thermometers off ebay as they're way better than the analogue ones. They're only about £3 to buy as well.

good luck and get ready for ending up with a reptile room - I've only had my corn 6 months and i'm already planning snake 2 & possibly 3 (I've had to agree to get the missus some non reptile pets in order to get her to agree to more snakes!)

Hi and welcome and kudos to you for taking it slow if your buying a hatchling you might want to try a rub first instead of going straight out and buying a viv
