hello everybody my name is damien i am from the isle of whight just got my first corn snake called jeffery he was hatched on the 21 06 11
and i was wondering if there was any tips on handeling him and also how long i should handle him for per day
also how can you tell if he is about to bite you when you try to pick him up?

any feedback would be much appreciated

Hi and welcome Damo, handling babies is easy in theory but can be tricky if you're not used to it! Just approach from the side with your hand and scoop him up by his middle before supporting him. They may bite totally unexpectedly but it honestly is nothing to be nervous about. Their teeth are teeny and it doesn't hurt. If you're confident in your approach and don't back away he'll be fine. Start handling sessions at 5 mins and build up to 10 mins etc. I would leave him for a week to settle in before you get him out though. Just do daily water changes. Best of luck :)
