I'm new to the site, new to forums and pretty new to corn snakes and already have so much that I could rabbit on about and after spending all night reading posts on here - I think that I am in for a critisism.
I built my viv ten months before I started looking for my corn, went to petshops, bought books and thought that I had everything covered - I found a local breader who seamed to be perfect in every way. When I went to collect my baby (Red - hatched 26 September, 6 weeks old) he had quite a few brothers and sisters. The breader said that if I wanted two that they would be perflectly fine in the same viv. So obviously I couldn't resist and bought two, Red and Dufresne.
They have been house together will no problems what so ever, they each have seperate feeding tanks, and seem to do their own thing.
However, after reading the debate I will be seperating them.
On a sort of plus note (to anyone that has an escapee) my two did get out - first Red went missing - he shed during the night so I decided to feed them and he was not there, as you can see from the pictutes my viv is built into my wall and the backend gos into the wall cavity (very old cottage with very thick walling. Anyhow I checked everywhere in the viv but had no idea how he had escaped -then the next night Dufresne dicided to follow. They were missing for almost two months before my dog ran in one day to let us know he had found something - it was Red - in the cold stone floored kitchen - I was over the moon - very next day the same thing happened with Dufresne - they both were a little nervie and looking rather skinny but now they are both back to normal. So anyone that has had one escape - don't give up hope.
So having said all that it would seem to me that even though they escape at different times they chose to obviously stick together as they were found in the same place.

Anyhow, so sorry to have rambled, and would just like to say what a fantastic source of information this place is.

Jackie

Wow you have 2 beautiful corns and an amazing viv! The cohab thing is up to you at the end of the day, if you are sure they are both the same sex!! I wouldn't risk it myself, but plenty of people have no problems.

To any Mods out there.
I'm sorry that my first pictures are so big - didn't really have a clue what I was doing but I have now figured it out so if you want to remove them because of there oversize I understand and really don't mind.

Thanks everyone one for the warm welcome and the nice comments about my wee guys.

Yes, Donnie - I did manage to find where they escaped and whilst they were missing total resealed every single mm of the viv.
Shawshank is now in total lock down.

Hi and welcome. I assume you found the place they escaped from in the viv?

Welcome to the forum, at the end of the day they are your snakes and you keep them how you want to. A lot of people do keep them together seemingly without problems, not something I have done but each to his/her own.
