Just for the record - if I'd left the hides in when we first got Corno I'm sure I'd never have been able to get her out lol! I take the hides out so there's nowhere for her to shoot to, then straight in and grab her - once in my hands she calms down within a minute!

Hello and welcome, you have to be brave with handling and just scoop them up gently, they calm down eventually.
I'm sure you'll get some great advice from others on here. :)

Didn't go too well it will come to my hand and have a smell of me but as soon as a touch it it panics and won't let me touch it will either slither away or go into one of his hides and I'm afraid of hurting it

hi and welcome. hows the naming going? 8 ended up with his name as they were numbered as they hatched, so he was the 8th one to pop out, the students at the college named him rodger which just didn't suit him so 8 just kinda stuck! we've also got a snow at the college called frosty which suits her (although shes still 16 to me!) look forward to pics!

names for a snow- Albina, Adwen, Ailbe, Akiyo, Albano, Albin Bain,Barwin Bianca or Blanche, etc etc (all mean "white")

http://babynamesworld.parentsconnect.com/search.php?p=meaning&r_meaning=1&s_mfilter=1&i_meaning=white&i_nmeaning=#continue

websites with baby-name search engines are pretty good if yr stuck- I wish I'd done that, instead of letting my children name the animals....

Then I wouldn't have sharon and debbie the common corns or a guinea pig called john and a cat called egg.....we used to have a solitary stick insect who was called freddy mercury, I could never understand that one......

Some of the names of ppls snakeys on this site are really interesting, appropriate or just plain cool.

(Don't let yr kids do it!!!

(welcome to the site)

and there's also Morwenna, Demelza, or Gavin. which all also mean 'white'.....
I really ought to go to bed
