Posted - 17/12/2011 : 15:05:11 Hi have just joined the wonderful world of corn snake keeping...its frickin brilliant. Last time I handeled a snake was a pet python that was handed from regiment to regiment when i was stationed in Belize....thats what get me hooked. Now I have my own...ok its not a python etc but its a wonderful creature .....
below are the details that the forum says will be useful..
Size/age/weight of snake...told he was about 1 yr old and is about 16 inches long.... size of viv/faun (inches please)...23ins x 15 ins x 16ins high last meal ...as fed on the 11th Dec, (pet shop) and have just fed him again on the 17th...well put a 'furry' in the viv. how long have you had them?...bought him 15th Dec temperatures in the warm and cool ends..between 60 adn 80 deg F If you could let us know how the viv/faun is heated....a heat mat on thermo sensor and a lamp surrounded by a guard
How is the heat regulated?..Habistat thermostat How are you measuring the temperature (dial thermometer/lcd strip/digital probe)...have a lcd strip thermosta placed in the middle near the top and a normalstick thremometer near the warm end.
Where are the thermometers placed?...see above
What substrate (bedding) you use?...kitchen roll for now so i know what to look for when he does a dump and can spot clean..
If the snake is new to you, do you have a feeding chart that lists the recent feeds?... Was given chart by pet shop and will continue it... Well that the details..and have named him Colin...no reason after all he aint going to answer to it is he.she
