Hi,
Well as the title says, I'm new to snakes and new to the site. A bit about how it started:
I've always loved snakes and have always wanted one, however I was never sure how my little boy would take to the idea. On Friday I took him to a Wildlife Park for his 4th Birthday and when we were in the Reptile House they were doing a talk about some of the animals; one was a bearded dragon, one was a Chilean Rose Tarantula and the last was an adult corn snake. I wasn't sure how he would be, but he happily held all of the animals and, ever since, had been asking if we could get a snake.
So, I decided I would look into things and, as a result have treated him (well more myself) to a corn snake. I'm allowed to treat myself, it's my 30th Birthday tomorrow (8th June) so thought what better?!
A bit about Azeroth (Azzy). He is just over 10 months old, weight about 1 & 1/2 lbs and is 24ins. He is absolutely beautiful and is a diamond to hold. He seems to prefer being held to being in his viv, and is happy to curl up on my tummy with his head poking through my buttons, or curl round my hand. He has been brilliant with Brandon too, happily slithering in one of Brandon's sleeves, round his shoulders, down and out the other sleeve, then crossing over Brandon's lap to get back to be (or do it all again as he decided to do this afternoon).
I have only owned Azzy since yesterday, but he is already such a big part of the family
I look forward to speaking with some of you and hope you will assist me when I come asking for help/advice.

(If someone explains to me how to attach a photo to signature/forum posts I will show you some of the photos I took of him).
