Posted - 16/05/2011 : 14:45:54 Hi all I've just noticed a lump on one side of my corn, about 1 cm up from the vent. She's a(female) 7year old green spotted snow, about 1.6mt kept in a 3ft x 15 x 15 inch viv using aspen substrate. I use a heat mat with a heat gradient of 74-84 degrees & have done for years. She's off her food & I normally feed 3 large mice once a month.I spot clean when necessary & change the substrate about once a month. Her last shed was about 4 weeks ago. Her daughter is also kept in the same viv & has no issues. You can't see anything from the photo's I've taken, hence not posted anyone? |

Posted - 16/05/2011 : 21:32:14 She could still be gravid even without being with a male. It happens regularly with snakes, they just seem to decide to drop eggs because they want to.
If you follow the directions here: http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=14057 it should give you the info to post pics. If you still have issues, let us know. |

Posted - 16/05/2011 : 16:06:01 I've had her from about 2 months old, so I've had her quite a few years. She weighs in @ .74Kgs, refused a feed a week ago & there's no way she can be gravid. Piccy's attached are about the best I can offer. You can see slight redness on the photo with my thumb. When I've figured out to attach a photo I will best regards

Posted - 16/05/2011 : 15:16:43 Hiya and welcome to the forums.
Thankyou for all the information. A couple more questions so the experts can help. How long has she been off her food? Is there any chance she could be gravid? How much does she weigh? (could be a fatty lump). If you can get some photos of the lump that would help alot otherwise some photos of her and the area might trigger something with the more knowledgable people on here. |
