Posted - 23/03/2011 : 16:11:31 Hi, My cornsnake is 3 years old and has always been healthy. For the last 2 weeks she hasn't eaten. Her eyes are also clouded over. This is usual for when she is about to shed, but she has never gone this long without eating before and I am concerned. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. |

Posted - 23/03/2011 : 18:28:55 Thanks so much for all your advice - I'm really glad to have found this forum! Will try her with feed tonight as she's due, but after reading your replies, I'm relieved to know she probably just needs time to shed/rest so won't worry too much is she doesn't feed. Will let you know what happens. Thanks again |

Posted - 23/03/2011 : 17:14:06 It could be a combination of her being due to shed and the time of year. She's old enough to breed now and this is the snake breeding season. Males quite often go off their food but it also happens with females sometimes. Try not to worry, just offer her food whenever her next meal would be due. They can go for months without food so no need to be too bothered yet! |

Posted - 23/03/2011 : 16:21:32 Hi and welcome
My hatchling has just shed and he missed two feeds with no negative after-effects, its likely that as soon as she's shed she'll be ready for something! They can go quite a while without food
Let us know how she gets on! |
