Oh how i wish id had a camera to hand when i just fed Blaze!
Not only did he do the fastest strike+the tightest constriction he's ever done, but he then popped his head out from his coiled body to reveal the fuzzies head in his mouth! JUST the head! He'd ripped it clean off! He munched that down pretty fast, then put his head back into his coils, reappearing with the rest of the fuzzies body. I didnt realise how strong they could be! He reared his head up holding the fuzzy (minus its head) in the air, before laying it down next to him+gobbling it up!!

Yes but the napkin on the lap made me think she was a very upper-class and rich snakey who likes to wine test and wear fancy frocks >.<
The grosses thing that my snakes have ever done while feeding happened last week with Char. he squeezed so hard it started bleeding though it's nose and she ended up getting the blood all over herself and steering it all over the RUB. My only thought was "I hope she doesn't take it's head off" |

I tried to image the snake having a lap and then the napkin O.o;;;;;; I also imagined her in a lacy snake dress as well for some reason O.o; |

My royal's last feed was like that, he struck and constricted so hard that he burst the rat pup's chest cavity and it started to ooze lol. Luckily no mess at all as he ate it extraordinarily quickly after that.
Ember's a clean eater, very strong at it and has never refused. She's the kind of girl who has a napkin on her lap to avoid mess at dinner ;) |

Wow lol  Dimika did that once - the feed she regurged.
She was a little off with coordination - and striked about three times, hitting the sides of the tub and then she got it, coiled and constricted it like a blinded tornado xD It was so funny and so furious that she popped the poor fuzzy - guts went everywhere, no wonder she had a regurge.
I also forgot my camera - I would have taken a video x/ Oh well! |

HAHAHa awesome. Had an issue with Gobo the other night. He refused to constrict the mouse, but wrapped himself round my hand, and constricted me, (hard) while poking the mouse with his face. Every time I tried to remove my hand he got ****y with me, so I sat there, my hand going blue, while he procrastinated over his dinner...*sigh*

our zero has popped his fuzzy several times which is a bit gross..especially as hes slowly turning white and when he ends up with bright red splodges down his body it doesnt look nice!!  |

thanks to everyone for their comments! i was really shocked too! maybe the fuzzy was abit weak around the neck area, or maybe Blaze was just extra hungry!! Kellog: he's a very keen eater, but thankfully soft as anything when being handled! |

Oh wow....that must have been so amazing Tina - and so shocking  ! I just cant even begin to imagine it after seeing how daintily mine feed compared with what you have described. I dont think we can even begin to comprehend how strong our lovely little pets are .
I just so wish we could hit rewind, go back in time to before the feed so that you could have a camera set up to record it ....would have loved to have seen that!
That is one feisty snake you have there!

ewwww lol... im going to be paranoid when i feed my snakes now as i have 5 that constrict with dime bein the worse eeek the biggest one and she is just shed so probs really hungry (as ususal)
aaah well if it happens it happens... as long as they crack on and eate it lol :D |
